Unit 1: Number Sense
Students will build a strong foundation by defining, reading, writing and quantifying numbers as well as exploring and discovering patterns and relationships in place value and in establishing foundational definitions and experiences with basic shapes, measurement and data collection and display. They will be introduced to the Discovery Method and work through the process of developing their very first theorem, comparing two amounts.
